Crop Rotation 2008.

This is my 2008 crop rotation plan for the plot.
I am thinking of laminating it and adding it to the file. Will remind me next year where not to plant.

Did this myself on Excel. I think it'll do.

I love love love! your blog, I'm trying to bring the inner green thumb out of me, this year I tripled my garden size but nothing really looks all that healthy or thriving.

I begin with the box garden ideal since where I live in Houston the soil is in large part clay, so I had 5 yards of organic soil delivered.

Well when the soil arrived and it was all nice neat and tucked away in the boxes I did notice that the soil seemed dead, or not nutrient rich I should say.

So me thinking that manure and peat moss would help my six heirloom plants and four regular tomato plants piled the manure around the plants.

Well it appears as though the plants hated that ( I must have burned them, darn!)a few of them dropped leaves from the bottom, and a couple turned from a bright deep healthy looking green to a bit yellow.

Long story short I then added organic leaf mold, a week ago and still nothing. A few days ago I mixed in compost (from Whole Foods) some potting soil & 12 earth worms, and I still have yet to see anything growing frivolously.

Please Help,
Trying to Go Green

Great looking allotment! Well done!
I have a council rented allotment. I've had it for about 6 years.I have a few raised beds (6) smallish one's, but continue with 'normal' beds everywhere else.

I'm trying to get hold of some horse muck this autumn if I can.

Keep up the good work!
