A few flowers from the garden

I thought I would try a new setting on my camera and take a few pictures of some flowers in my back garden.

Not too bad for a first go...

Our Veg.

Since I started my blog all I have been showing is the plot and in general the new shed, so I thought I would show you some of the veg we have been growing.

To start off with I'm showing a new type of bean this year called 'Teeny Beans'. Like a runner bean but a little smaller I think.

Next is my carrots which are not doing too bad but I am going to try something different next year. Something really different next and these are Red/Purple Sprouts. Never seen these before but worth a go.
The cabbage are getting a real firm heart to them. Maybe a bit early but they will be ready for the pot soon.
Mixed feelings on the sweet corn as some are relly going well and others are really slow growing.

Broad beans are really doing well although next year we might plant them in the Autumn rather than March.
Lastly two from the greenhouse which are our first cucumber and also our first tomato.

The new shed

Well after two weeks the newly acquired shed is nearly done. I have put a new window in the plot side. I have bricked up the wall on the road side and I have widened the door opening and fitted a door which was kindly donated from one of our allotment neighbours. I have fitted a new roof and felted it.
I have a little bit of brickwork still to finish off and then thats another job finished.
