March 9th. Start of the New Season

I start this blog with 60% of the beds turned over to get as much air into the soil as possible to dry and warm the soil. We have nearly got everything ready for planting out and we cannot wait.










































Today we have put together a cold frame. Although we have got a massive greenhouse, we do not have a cold frame where we can put our seedlings out to harden off.















This is our latest project (or should I say mothers project) She has made the new carrot bed. I have been fitting a new kitchen for a few weeks so mother got fed up and made it without me. We made and fitted a top yesterday and I think she's done a superb job. Parsnips will be sown this week as soon as the bed warms up.
















Inside the greenhouse as you can see is getting so full we are running out of space.
